含鈣保健品有很多種,碳酸鈣、磷酸鈣、檸檬酸鈣、胺基酸螯合鈣、乳酸鈣、葡萄糖鈣,每一種鈣,都有不同百分比的鈣離子含量和吸收率。也就是說,如果有一種鈣,鈣離子含量很高,但吸收率卻很低,吸收不到,那就白搭。在這些鈣的種類中,如果衡量鈣離子含量與吸收率,兩者加總狀況最好的要屬檸檬酸鈣了。
檸檬酸鈣的使用方法很多:
用於退燒
很久以前中醫就懂得使用石膏退燒,石膏裡的主要成份是硫酸鈣。現在我們知道,鈣質是免疫在作戰時,重要的溝通工具。發燒時骨頭會痛,便是取鈣的過程。所以現代版天然退燒最佳的選擇,便是含鈣保健品,而其中要屬檸檬酸鈣吸收最佳。

腎病患的好幫手,做為磷結合物
腎臟受損傷時,不該排的會排掉,好像白蛋白,而該排的會排不掉,好像磷。肉類中有磷酸,而磷如果排不掉,就會在結晶,卡在皮膚下就會癢。現在研究發現,如果腎病患不能攝取足量的肉或蛋白質,就會發生嚴重的營養不良,而出現許多不良併發症。這是為什麼,美國現在很多腎臟中心,都建議腎病患在吃肉時,同時食用磷結合物,這樣磷可以順利排出體外。而檸檬酸鈣就是一種磷結合物。
肉吃的比較多時,每餐前一匙檸檬酸鈣 500mg

賁門閉鎖不全者,可用於中和胃酸
如果你有賁門閉鎖不全或鈣化的問題,躺下後胃酸會倒流灼傷食道。這時可以在睡前食用少量的檸檬酸鈣<500mg(不超過一小匙),去中和胃酸,保護食道。

雌激素下降,短暫補鈣
女生月經前,或是更年時期,都可能因為雌激素下降時出現骨頭痠痛、關節痠痛的問題,這時可以短暫少量的補充檸檬酸鈣。
